Blackburn Rovers Football Club - 11.12 miles
Blackburn Rovers are a club that have known all about football's high and lows since their foundation in 1875. They quickly emerged as one of England's most powerful clubs and by 1928 Rovers had won the league championship twice and the FA Cup on six occasions. For the next sixty years, however, the trophy cabinet was bare and they remained outside of the top-flight - sinking to Division Three in 1971 - between 1966 and 1993. Not that promotion to the Premiership, via the play-offs, would herald an end to the club's topsy-turvy nature, though. Fast Fact : Blackburn won the Premiership in 1994 under Kenny Dalglish despite losing their last game of the season at Anfield.
